A message from our founder

Building a fairer, greener table

Flora Dine began with a simple belief: that everyday tableware shouldn't cost the earth - and that the people who make it deserve fair, dignified work. We turn agricultural by-products into compostable foodware, and we build livelihoods while we do it.

Thank you for being part of that journey. Whether you're a distributor, a caterer, or a household making a small switch, you're helping prove that sustainability and good business belong at the same table.

Women-Led

Women-led, by design

Flora Dine was founded on the conviction that building a sustainable company means building a fair one - starting with who leads it. From procurement to export, women make every decision that matters.

  • Women run the business

Leadership, operations, quality, and export are all headed by women - not just the storefront.

  • Mentorship built in

Senior team members train newer hires into supervision, so leadership keeps growing from within.

  • Decisions made on the floor

Production targets and quality calls sit with the women who run the lines, not a distant office.

  • Proof the model works

One of the region’s few women-led exporters - showing fair employment and global trade scale together.

Our Philosophy

Guiding Principles of Sustainability

Our approach is rooted in transforming natural byproducts into premium, eco-friendly solutions that benefit people and the planet.

Dual-Material Sourcing

We draw on two agricultural streams - sugarcane bagasse and naturally fallen areca palm sheaths - creating zero-waste solutions without a single virgin tree or petroleum input.

Innovation in Materials

Constant research into natural fibres ensures our products are strong, heat-resistant, and fully compostable.

Ethical Manufacturing

Our processes prioritize low emissions, fair labor, and community impact for true sustainability.

Customer-Centric Design

We create versatile, elegant foodware that meets real-world needs for businesses and homes.

Global Impact

Every product sold contributes to reducing plastic pollution and promoting circular economies.

Transparency First

Full disclosure on materials, certifications, and lifecycle ensures trust in our eco-claims.

Certifications & Compliance

Export-ready, audit-ready, trusted worldwide

Every shipment is backed by internationally recognised certifications and full documentation for smooth customs clearance.

  • EN 13432 industrially compostable

EN 13432 · OK compost INDUSTRIAL

Certified to break down in industrial composting facilities, typically within 90 days. Certificates supplied with every shipment.

  • Food-contact compliant (EU & UK)

EU Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 · UK retained FCM law

Migration test reports from accredited laboratories, covering direct hot and cold food contact.

  • PFAS-free, verified by test report

Lab-tested · no intentionally added PFAS

No per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances ("forever chemicals") and no plastic lining on the bagasse and areca ranges.

  • Full export documentation pack

    Per shipment

Certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate (areca), packing list and test reports issued with every consignment.

  • Made from agricultural by-product

Bagasse · naturally shed areca sheath

Sugarcane bagasse is a by-product of juice extraction; areca sheaths are collected after they fall naturally. No virgin timber, no plastic.

  • Also compliant for North America

    BPI · ASTM D6400 · FDA food-contact requirements

Listed here for completeness - these are US frameworks and are not what EU or UK buyers screen on.

How we work

What importers actually buy from us

Three things a procurement team can verify before committing to a container.

  • Import & Distribution

    Documentation that clears first time

Every consignment ships with the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, EN 13432 certificate and food-contact test reports - and, for areca, a shipment phytosanitary certificate. Your broker gets the complete set before the vessel sails.

Ask for a sample document pack before you place an order.

  • Multi-site Foodservice

One supplier across the front of house

Bagasse plates, bowls, compartment trays, cups and cutlery alongside the areca event range, on scheduled repeat orders with agreed lead times. Private-label embossing is available from 10,000 units at no design charge.

MOQs, carton packs and lead times are published per line on this page.

  • Sourcing model

Audited partner factories, single point of contact

We are an export partner rather than a factory owner: production runs through vetted manufacturing partners in India whose facilities we audit, with consolidated QC and one documentation point. That gives capacity flexibility across plants without the buyer managing several suppliers.

Partner-facility audits can be arranged for buyers who require them.
